I’m a PhD student, so high school was awhile ago. Perhaps helped along by that very fact, some of my fellow grad students decided to throw a prom last week– a prom with fuller beards, a healthier sense of irony, and a more legal and capable approach to drinking copious amounts of booze. I was put in charge of the fruit platters! Since I was getting reimbursed, I got the chance to work with fifty dollars worth of fruit, something I haven’t had the chance to do since I worked at an organic produce stand… I was pleased with these. I experimented a bit with making those fruit “flowers” that are all the rage these days as a replacement for flower bouquets.
