200 Cupcakes, Iced

with 9 comments

According to the rules of VeganMoFo, I’m supposed to be posting every day, and since October 1st I’ve been posting LESS than usual! Well, these 200 puppies get the credit! In between presenting at a conference on Friday and the wedding on Saturday (both in different towns from the one I live in) I iced 200 cupcakes for Alicia and Jason’s wedding. And it was a success: I was pleased with them, and so was the wedding party! So, all good all around.
Becca and Sarah kept me from going nuts in the 24 hours before the wedding, and kept us all going with their hilarity and Andy Samberg-related multimedia: thanks guys! They also loaded the car while I got ready to leave, so that we wouldn’t be late for the wedding (we got there with two minutes to spare!) They also helped with cupcake presentation at the hotel, including taking care of the rose petal strewing.
I might milk this baking event for another post or two, but for now, good night!
Below: my fridge, two hours before the wedding.

  3. What are the characters on the cupcake table? I see Batman but can’t make out the other one.

    Everything looks incredible!

  4. Thanks! It’s Batman and Jane Austen. The groom is a Batman fanatic and the bride is a PhD student in 18thC literature…
